Meet our writers, contributors and reviewers

At UK Care Guide we have a team of specialists that are responsible for producing and keeping our content updated.  Our writers all have expertise in the field so are able to write from both a practical and theoretical perspective.

We recognise that now all people can be experts and authority in all subjects which is why we have content written by a range of people.  Some of the information and bios of the people that have written for us are below.

William Jackson

After finishing university, William worked in the financial services industry and specifically in the equity release field.   Since then, William joined the UK Care Guide in 2013 and has been responsible for helping to create the website.

Using his experience in the industry, he has written some of the most popular content we have on the site which relates to Equity Release.  This includes; using equity release to pay for care and what is equity release.

He has a passion for care as it is an area that he has been, both directly and indirectly involved with all his life.   He brought some of this knowledge together by writing a book called ’51 Tips to help you live well with dementia’.   This book has been given away free by NHS trusts and other care organisations.

William has also written for the C0-Op pensioners Evergreen magazine where he discussed the range of options people to have to pay for their care.
