The UK Care Guide’s elderly care matching service is designed to take the stress out of finding a care provider.  The best thing about it is that it is FREE!

What is the care matching service?

For many people, looking for care for themselves or a loved one can be a stressful experience.   Many people coming to our site are looking for help and information, as seeking care is not something they have to do previously.

However, based on the questions we get asked, its clear to us that people need real support in helping them decide between different care providers.

As some context, there are nearly 10,000 care providers listed in our directories.   So, how do you, with little experience, decide who is right for you? How do you know the right questions to ask?  The answer, for many, is they don’t!

Why we created the care matching service

We have tried to provide people with as much written information as we can.  For example we produced guides including 5 steps to find a care home and Tips on choosing a home care agency.   However, we are still finding that people need more help and information. What people really seem to want is someone to find a provider that is right for them, and that is hard to do by looking at words on a screen.

What does the care matching service do?

It’s really simple.  You can speak to someone at UK Care Guide and explain your current circumstances and what type of care you are looking for (home care, live incare or residential care).

Based on what you tell us, we will do the hard work and find a provider for you.  The provider we source will meet your requirements and should give you all you need.

We have a straightforward 3 step process:

Step 1 – You speak to a care specialist and tell us your circumstances.  If you know what type of care you want, that’s great. If you don’t, dont worry, as we can talk you through the options available.

Step 2 – Based on what you tell us, we will go and speak to a number of care providers that we think meet your needs.  

Step 3 – We will pick out a single care provider that is able to provide the support that you need.  We’ll then arrange for them to contact you or you can speak to them directly. But at least you will have the confidence that you have had us supporting you every step of the way.

Why you would benefit from the service?

For many people, looking for care is not something they have much experience in.  However, they are keen to get it right as they are looking for care for either themselves or a loved one.  But they do not have the time to go from care provider to care provider trying to establish what the right options is for them.

On average, this service will save you about 30 hours of your time. In our experience, this is split:

15 HOURS – reading about the types of care, what it is, how its funded and trying to establish what would be best

10 HOURS – researching care providers online to identify a short-list

5 HOURS – speaking to short-listed providers to discuss costs, care availability and importantly your specific requirements
